Privacy and how we use your information

Who we are
Roof Health Check is a free homeowner tool from Schultz Roofing & Repairs, LLC (“Schultz Roofing”, “we”), Loveland, Colorado. Schultz Roofing decides how your information is used and is responsible for it. TavaTrack LLC, our marketing agency, builds and runs Roof Health Check for us as our service provider. It may use your information only to run Roof Health Check and our ads for us.

What we collect
- Your address and quiz answers. We also get map coordinates for the address and store the result you saw.
- Contact details, only if you send them: name, phone and email when you ask for an inspection, a callback or your results by email, the best time to reach you, and a record of exactly what you agreed to and when (with a scrambled version of your IP address and your browser type).
- Usage and device information: which steps you completed, which ad or link brought you here (for example ad IDs and Facebook click IDs), the page you came from, and a random ID. Cookies and similar technology from us and from Meta (see below).
- From others: address suggestions from Google, map coordinates from the U.S. Census Bureau, and public storm reports from NOAA.
How we use it
- To show your Roof Health Check results. You never have to give contact details to see them.
- If you ask for an inspection or callback, to contact you about that request. We’ll text you only if you ticked the text box.
- If you ask for your results by email, to send them. That isn’t permission for sales calls.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam.
- To measure and improve our advertising (see below).
We never use an unfinished Roof Health Check to contact anyone.
Advertising, cookies and Meta (Facebook / Instagram)
This site uses the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API. Meta and we may use cookies, pixels and similar technology to collect information about your visit, so we can see which ads lead to requests and so Meta can measure and deliver our ads. When you send a request, we tell Meta that it happened, with scrambled (hashed) versions of your contact details so Meta can match it to an ad. We don’t send Meta your quiz answers, your street address or your result. Meta uses this information under its own Data Policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).
Your choices: change your ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences, opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info, or block or delete cookies in your browser.
Who we share it with
Only with companies that help us run Roof Health Check, for that purpose: Vercel (hosting), [Supabase / Neon] (database), Resend (email), Google (address suggestions; Google’s privacy policy applies to what you type: policies.google.com/privacy), the U.S. Census Bureau (map coordinates), [Cloudflare (spam check)], TavaTrack LLC (our service provider), and Meta as described above. We may also share information if the law requires it.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share your phone number or text consent with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Unfinished Roof Health Checks: deleted after 30 days.
- Finished Roof Health Checks with no request: deleted after [90] days.
- Requests and contact details: [24] months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer.
- Records of what you agreed to and of opt-outs: [4] years, to show we had permission.
Your choices
- Ask us to see, correct or delete your information: email [privacy email] or call (970) 286-3014. We’ll respond within [30] days.
- Stop calls, texts or emails: reply STOP to any text, or tell us in any words by phone or email. We’ll stop within [1 business day].
- We won’t treat you differently for asking.
Security
We use encrypted connections, password-protected staff access and limited access to your information. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Roof Health Check is for adult homeowners and isn’t directed to children under 16.
Weather data
Storm information comes from public NOAA records and may be incomplete. Roof Health Check isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service or any government agency.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
